Dream Act pays for one illegal alien at the expense of two inner city citizens

The Dream Act, which grants tax funded in-state tuition to illegal immigrants to Maryland colleges, comes at a hefty cost to legal citizens. The in-state tuition program is subsidized by tax dollars, which means We The People pay the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition for students receiving the benefit.

The in-state tuition rate at the University of Maryland is about $8,000, while the regular rate is about $24,000. That $16,000 difference is what it costs taxpayers for each qualifying student.

So the Dream Act forces Maryland taxpayers to spend $16,000 per illegal immigrant. For the same money, we could send two inner-city citizens FREE OF CHARGE to the University of Maryland. For full article, click here.
