"Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangster"

Martin O’Malley took to his in-house newsletter, today to double down on the extortion of Constellation/BGE and EDF. I’m not going to quote from the governor’s piece because doing so would lend underserved dignity to O’Malley’s rank political shake down.

It is outrageous that the governor is threatening to gut a transaction, which will bring much needed energy to Maryland—the state is facing power shortages in the coming years—in order to create the illusion of fulfilling his impossible 2006 campaign promise.

The more O’Malley rattles the BGE saber, the more transparent his is political thuggery becomes. We only wish O’Malley was just as transparent in other areas of governing.

This kind of behavior is the reason the Republicans have got to organize and start a campaign.

Meanwhile. there has got to be some rational Democrats who are fed up with the current crop of lawmakers and Governor and realize the party has got to make a change.
