Would anyone who attends care to ask David Schwartz, Nick Loffer, Aaron Jones or any other Maryland AFP organizers if they are getting paid for their work on behalf of this "grass roots" organization, and if so, by whom and how much?
The lavishly funded Washington based Americans for Prosperity has every right to hire political operatives to do their work in Maryland, and hats off to anyone who can get paid to pursue their political passions, but don't let them insult our intelligence by claiming to be a bottom-up "grass roots" or "citizen driven" movement when they are anything but such.

Steve, this comment is simply dishonest in such a blatant way that it leaves one breathless with its callous disregard for either the truth or our intellects.
AFP is "lavishly funded" to the tune of about $5M per year. The state organizations receive about half of that, or about $100K each if equally divided.
Don't come back. Ever.
As opposed to whom Steve? ACORN? Americans United for Change? Or anyone of the groups in the Soros constellation of professional agitators?
Your kernel-of-truth spun beyond what it means ruse may excite the pant-wetting rabble that is your average Daily-Kos reader, but the issue of funding belies the real truth about AFP and the tea-party movement in general. The sentiment behind the movement is truly grass roots. The folks who show up to the rallys aren't paid protestors like the folks ACORN busses to private homes of CEOs or to shakedown a buisness.
Thank you for posting the meeting information. We had a great turn out. AFP, Lower Shore has a lot of upcoming exciting events this month like the Tawes Crab Festival and a Patience United Now Symposium.
I am co-chair for AFP, Lower Shore and I can assure you that I am not lavishly funded. I have in fact, donated an extensive amount of my time and money, as have over 600 of our members. I do this because of my passion. The members of this organization give of their time and resources because of a concept justdafacts may have a difficult time understanding, we care about our country and we don't need anyone to pay us to stand up for her.
