Is There a Republican Position on Jack Johnson's Latest Plea for Higher Taxes?

Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson, frustrated because the county charter will not permit him to raise taxes willy-nilly, has appealed to the county's all Tax and Spend Democratic delegation to set aside the will of the voters and impose a county tax increase from Annapolis.

The news media covering Prince George's County almost never report any Republican position on Johnson's never-ending quest for higher taxes.

Are there any Maryland Republican Party officers or spokespersons who have made a public statement about Johnson's latest request?  Or who are willing to make a public statement that I could try to disseminate to PG-Politics and other PG County blogs and mailing lists?
