Profiles in Self Beclowning: Lisa Gladden

Lisa Gladden has said some mind numbingly stupid things over the years:

Gladden said party trumps race” defending racist political attacks against Michael Steele.

Last February she labeled opposition to tax increases as “undemocratic” saying, “we have a responsibility, if not to ourselves, then to the larger community. We have to pay taxes.”

Defending her opposition to Jessica’s Law she gave the most asinine response in the history of Maryland politics. WBAL asked Gladden why she voted against Jessica’s Law but for a bill barring restraints on dogs kept outside. Gladden’s said was that her votes didn’t mean that she took the safety of dogs more seriously than the safety of children. She said he based her votes on both bills, “on their merits.” Meaning that Gladden, keeping dogs free of restraint has more merit than keeping child sex offenders off the street.

Now we have this:

“It doesn’t matter if the state of Maryland is broke as long as Barack Obama is going to be President of the United States – this is great!”

Yes Senator, its doesn’t matter that the state faces a two billion dollar deficit and state employees will lose their jobs, because its just great that Barack Obama is president.

See the video of Gladden cheerfully belcowning herself here.

It seems blatant stupidity continues to rule the GA. Tie this together with the partisan vindictiveness of the GA's so-called leadership and we have a perfect picture of Maryland one party politics.

So when the shooting war starts and she's targeted and we bounce it right back at her, party trumps race, that's gonna be A-OK, right.

Oh and BTW, it's not just limited to the GA, it's all over throughout the F-ing country.

The left h gone hog wild with this crazy agenda so when the boomerang comes back it's going to really smart. I'll be surprised as hell, if they live to regret it.

If this state is insistent upon burying the Republican party for the next 20, no - 40 years, can we survive this?

I don't think so.

It's time to leave this state to its self-destruction.

Howzat gonna work for ya, Mike Miller??

Gonna be glad to have Gladden in her seat for the next, oh - 20 to 40 years?

Or, is it Mike Busch that's going to be ecstatic about this??

You folks are so myopic it is truly pathetic.

Gladden is an absolute idiot. But, I won't make the incorrect generalization that every democrat member of the MGA is as simple minded and worthless as Gladden. For instance, her delegate, Jill Carter is a high caliber legislator, democrat that doesn't tow the party line even though she's a liberal. In fact, the Speaker is retaliating against both Carter and Delegate Michael Smigiel, a republican, because they are independent thinkers that he can,t control.

An update on another GA member, Jill Carter.

It seems to Ms Carter that moving her from her Judiciary Committee seat is a violation of her CIVIL RIGHTS.
“My being [on the committee] is a civil rights issue,” said Carter, who is black.”

Another narcissist with HUGE self importance issues in our government.

How DARE Busch move a black around! Who does he think he is? The racist group NAACP will never let that stand. They sttod up fro her and she will maintain her seat!

Why did they not stand for Smigiel also? Because he is the man, he is white, he is not worthy of the same support as a black apparently. Thus the RACIST NAACP.

This group of people will be the death of democracy!

No one - including Gladden - ever defended or promoted racial attacks on Michael Steele. Not then and not now.

To say so is a blatant lie.

The lie is to actually deny that the attacks took place and that black democrats in Maryland took part in the attacks and defended the attacks.

Not having been in a coma during Steele's two statewide campaigns, I'm pretty aware of the vicious nature of the attacks against him and the rather feeble attempt by those who were a party to the attacks to rewrite history.
