For the concerned and dimwitted
Around the time of the election RedMaryland changed its format from an unmoderated to a moderated blog.
The reason for that is simple, the election brought out a particularly vile and disreputable type of commenter who either had to allege racism at every criticism of The One or fling particularly odious and racist comments in the directions of black Republicans or female Republicans. As a private blog, RedMaryland has no obligation to serve as a forum for this variety type of social pathology and it won't.
We get the "this blog has lost its guts" comment with monotonous regularity. Apparently, our lack of guts is indicated by our refusal to countenance racist and abusive comments, along with the garden variety of just plain stupidity "justdafacts" amazingly finds the time to generate. Nothing could be farther from the truth. It takes guts to stand for something, and to stand against nothing. The truly gutless approach would be to sign onto the notion that this is a public restroom and that random passersby have the right to crap in our sink.
It isn't going to happen.
So we apologize for the delay in time before you comment is public, if your comment doesn't appear it isn't an accident or an oversight.

Good.
I wholeheartedly agree.
If naysayers and nitwits want to spout off, they can make their own website.
I concur. That's what du and hp are for.
So, never is heard a discouraging word?
Using vial racist or sexist comments by some as a way edit out simple dissagreement is nothing to be proud of.
It's just an excuse to avoid being accountable by dealing with facts that fly in the face of approved postings or simple differing opinions.
But your reference to those who merely disagree with the narrow view and vision of this place proved that is exactly what you're doing.
no one has a problem with disagreement.
What will not be tolerated, and shouldn't be tolerated by any civilized person, is the directing of racist/sexist epithets. Sorry you disagree.
I'm sure you can find plenty of places that meet your standards.
