Liberman-Warner's Effect on Maryland

Liberman-Warner is dead...for now.
Democrats failed to get the 60 votes needed for cloture. They got 48, not even close. Harry Reid withdrew the bill.

Unfortunately Liberman-Warner or some form of it will be back next year with a president who favors cap and trade and an even more amenable Congress.

The First Congressional District falls in the top category for non-farm job loss. As a soon to be resident of Queen Anne's County, I would love to know Frank Kratovil's position on this.

The largest drop in GDP would be seen in the 8th and 4th Congressional Districts, right along the I-270 biotech corridor. Given the relevant policy positions of Chris Van Hollen and Donna Edwards, this brings back the question What's the Matter with MoCo?
