Wasn't He Elected to Stop This

From today's Baltimore Sun

The record prices Marylanders paid to keep cool last summer will soon give
way to eye-popping winter heating bills - no matter what the fuel.Households
heating with electricity can expect bills to be about 50 percent more than a
year ago - assuming no adjustment for weather variances - as a result of
Baltimore Gas & Electric's rate increase in June.

If you believed that MOM could stop energy rate hikes, or his "professional" regulators on the PSC could defy the law of supply and demand, then I have some cheap waterfront property on the Eastern Shore to sell you.
